What some people have said about OmniRemote: Subject: LEGO remote control From: Bill OmniRemote successfully learned and played back the Lego mindstorms command codes. So I can control my Lego robots with my P3. :-) Bill From: Andrew Subject: curious about the possibilities Hey all, I was just playing with the newest version and am wondering at the possibilities for our little IR commandos. I have gotten bored with the immediate surroundings and am getting mischevious looking for other items to control in my area. I have thus far progressed fine with my TV, VCR, and all of my Stereo components. A friend's IR controlled halogen lamp is now under my control and I have made a few macro commands for doing simple tasks on a laptop's IR port from across the room. Any ideas? Andrew From: David I was seriously considering returning my PIII. I tried your software last night and it made me realize that the PIII is the most useful device I have ever bought. So I decided to keep it. Kudos. D.- From: Sean Robinson Subject: OmniRemote purchase I was delighted to see universal remote sofware for the Palm III. As a Media Technician for a community college, I and others in my office deal with literally hundreds of TVs, VCRs, and data/video projectors. The tests we've made with OmniRemote have been very promising... From: Gabriel Subject: Re: PNT Order It's TOTALLY worth it, you guys have the most totally elite program I've had in a long time. I can't wait to go to sports bars (I'm not particularly into sports you see) and secretly switch TVs to Sabrina the Teenage Witch or Xena or whatever. Now I just need to have it learn the codes for the remotes that bartenders have to make the juke box skip the current song . . . From: Michael Subject: OmniRemote and Lazer Tag When I walked into an invincible spot during a laser tag game, I thought: "I'll just point my P3 at the spot where I became on invincible, tap learn, and see what happens." As it turned out, it did learn it. I can be invincible when ever I want! HA HA HA HA HA! I can't lose! --- Michael Palm Pilot is a trademark of 3Com Corporation.
